The Paiton Energy Company has constructed and operates a coal fired electric power generating station near Paiton on the Java Sea in east Java, Indonesia. There it is transshipped into geared Handymax vessels for the trip across the Java Sea. At Paiton the coal is unloaded using ship’s gear and discharged into hoppers for transfer to the power station. This project consists of analysis and ongoing monitoring of the coal supply chain to ensure a reliable supply of coal to the power station. Read more »
